There is no question that Fahey's experience far outweighs Descano's experience.  Fahey has been a prosecutor for 19 years.  It appears that Descano has never tried a case in Virginia--as a prosecutor or defender.  In fact, it is not clear if he has ever tried a case in court.  He touts his experience in Obama's DOJ--in fact, he worked in tax administration.

But what is really troubling is the advertising that Descano has sent to voters.  He claims that Fahey served in the Trump administration and that he (Descano) served in the Obama administration.  He implies that Fahey a Republican.  Fahey is running as an Independent.   He neglects to mention that Fahey also served in the Obama administration and, in fact, received an award from Loretta Lynch.
The fact is that Fahey was an Assistant US Attorney which is considered a career position by most people. He served under Democrat and Republican administrations.
What disturbs me the most is that Descano has thumbed his nose at the motto of his school--West Point.  He has ignored the call for "honor."  He touts being a West Point grad, but has forgotten how important the "honor" is.

Most of Descano's funding--in fact, an overwhelming amount--has come from outside Virginia.  It comes from a SuperPac funded almost entirely from George Soros.  These funds enabled Descano to beat an honorable Democrat incumbent--Morrough.
