[quote=Anonymous]Twice in the past year I have been approached by a very friendly, outgoing mom on the playground (Arlington). Both times they asked lots of questions about me and my family and then pretty quickly jumped into a pitch. Basically they state that they and their spouse have found a couple to mentor them to reach early “retirement” and financial freedom. They went on about how they are being mentored to take control of their lives financially and achieve their goals. Both women said their husband was in the military. The first woman this happened with said that since I seemed so nice and cared about my family, she would be happy to introduce me to her mentors, with no guarantee that it would be the right fit. No other details were provided as I quickly excused myself. The second time this happened (today) I left the conversation as soon as I recognized the script. I am wondering what the heck is this recruitment- MLM business? Scientology? There were no specific product/business mentions, and no religious undertones. I’m just curious if anyone else has experienced this and knows what the deal is. I have a friend who had the same thing happen at an Arlington playground. It is quite strange and off-putting!
