She voted against it because it didn't go far enough, and it let existing owners keep them. That's why she opposed it.

If it passed, it then becomes a "solved" problem that politicians then take credit for, which didn't actually solve a thing. She voted against it because it would've accomplished nothing except ending sales of new assault weapons. It didn't address confiscating the millions upon millions that are already out there. That's why she opposed it. [/quote]
