Blair offers through MultiVariable calculus, plus some electives like linear algebra (you can see in their course bulletin.) If Blair is your base school, you can make it first choice and will get in. Even if you aren't in the SMCS program, you can still access the highest math classes. RMHS also offers through MVC and the IB HL math class covers a lot of advanced topics similar to Blair electives. You can either apply to the magnet program for 9th grade, or if RM is your home school you can join the diploma program in 11th. The W schools may offer math beyond BC Calculus, but they won't have the concentration of top math students that Blair and RM have due to the magnets.
Many HSs offer MV Calculus.
If You select a rental in Blair, RM or Poolesville, your DC can sign up for any magnet class. No need to be accepted into the magnet, in case you move here after magnet test. I heard there are also kids tested in before summer because they moved to MC in the summer. Anything is possible but you need to contact the school.
This is only true if there is space in the magnet class and it works for the child's schedule.
At Blair the required 9th and 10th grade Magnet classes only have Magnet students. The 11th and 12th grade Magnet electives are open to everyone as long as they have room. My child typically has one or two non Magnet students in each of his Magnet electives. Also the math teachers are amazing and the math curriculum is very thoughtful and thorough. If your child is a math kid they should definitely apply to Blair.
