wait.. in the other thread, someone stated that MCPS has set aside $20K for field maintenance, and how it's an outrage because it's coming out of the teacher's salary.

Which is it?  Is MCPS supposed to be paying for the maintenance of these fields or MSI?

People in the other thread are a bunch of lying and selfish people!!

Annual Grass Maintenance Costs are approximately $60/year if not more. Also, MCPS is able to rent out the turf field for a higher fee compared to grass fields. MSI basically paid 10 years worth of exclusive turf field rental. Note:  Julius West has priority use of the field over MSI by paying for the field construction. When you rent a field or facility, you don’t pay for the maintenance of it. It’s part of the fee you pay to rent the field. [/quote]
