That is half the story.  There is no agreement on which organization is to maintain the fields at JWMS.  If MSI was expecting MCPS to pay, that should have been put into the agreement.  MCPS does not budget field maintenance for middle schools.  MSI should just pony up the money and stop jerking around its teams.  It is ridiculous.[/quote]

That’s 100% untrue. Why are you spreading lies?

The annual maintenance cost (time and materials) for grass field is much higher than turf fields. MCPS already has in their budget for annual grass maintenance at Julius West. I am a parent that will have a child attending JW next year and I can’t be happier that they now have a turf field.

MoCo has a shortage of turf fields. Most, if not all, MCPS grass fields in MoCo are in terrible shape and dangerous for kids to play on. [/quote]
