It means if you let your kid blow off the assignment the entire summer, and then force him or her to do it on the holiday weekend before school starts, you are doing it wrong, and you should pay attention to setting your kid up for success, and focus less on puritanical notions of what is appropriate for tweens. Why is it puritanical to shield children from violence? Doing it at the last minute has nothing to do with this. That's not the issue. The question was about the book.[/quote]
