He basically spends the whole movie trying to fend off bad guys while simultaneously attempting to prove that he is a GOOD guy who was set up! Meanwhile the audience (in studio and “at home”  root  against him, having long since been convinced of his guilt. After all, they heard the audio evidence with their own ears.

Well, it seems that AI technology has now caught up to the creative imagination of the 1980s. Implications are a little creepy!
