See, I’ve seen you moms wat the airport or on the plane traveling alone with 2 or 3 young kids! I don’t know how you do it. I did a couple short flights with my kid solo, and that was hard enough. And on one of those trips, a random lady and an elderly woman both took pity on me and offered me help at different points. I was grateful and embarrassed. [/quote]

You need to stop being embarrassed.  That's not a reason to not travel. Plenty of people travel with kids.  Plenty of kids don't always act perfectly.

I’m not sure you know what it’s like until you have kids of your own you need to be with in public. I’m a person who cleans the floor of crumbs when we eat it and we leave the restaurant immediately if my child is loud. I park far away so people don’t have to wait for my prime spot while I take a minute to buckle the car seat. Even with how polite I try to be constantly, I still have strangers being pissed at me. With a cross country flight, I’d be stuck for 5-6 hours unable to take my toddler out or away. [/quote]

I will say it’s mostly in the DC area that I get this attitude. Whenever I travel anywhere else, people actually seem to like my kid! [/quote]
