Can you just knock them out this weekend?
I think OP is asking whether this is a fake or real deadline. Some schools like their employees to complete all of this stuff before preservice so they can fill up their preservice time with even more trainings and meetings than what is required. I've personally not received any communication regarding completing those three trainings by August 21.
Maybe, but they are not unmanageable to do this weekend unless you have some major issue like a wedding or a newborn. Even with a newborn, they sleep in long enough stretches to get one done at a time. No one likes do them, but kicking the can down the road to a point after 8/21 is unnecessarily risky. Just do it. With a glass of wine and Netflix on.
You’re being purposefully obtuse. This is a black and white issue. Is there or isn’t there an August 21st deadline for the 3 trainings OP is referring to? I like to know when my admin is outright lying or misinformed and spreading misinformation as fact because it lets me know I should be on the lookout for other lies/misinformation that comes from them. Admin should start the year off on the right foot by telling their staff correct deadlines for things. It’s not a question of whether it’s manageable or unmanageable for people and I don’t understand why you feel you’re the judge who gets to decide what’s manageable and unmanageable for people.
If you are this angry and paranoid more than a week before pre-service, you might want to consider a career change. At the very least, you might want to make an EAP appointment about some stress management techniques. The children will be here on 9/3 and they need us to be healthy.
