If the adult teeth do have a gap you will I’m sure have the opportunity to fix it when the child has braces since most kids don’t escape that. But I will say that my husband had braces and the gap came back a little once he stopped wearing his retainer. He actually really likes his gap, it’s not that big and I don’t know it seems to kind of become a part of people’s look when they have them. So I would try to learn to love it in case :)  you don’t want your kid picking up on your anxiety about the gap over the next 10-20 years or feeling like it’s something that needs fixing. Kids really internalize that stuff from their parents. [/quote]
