It sounds like the writing is on the wall at BRYC. After 03, they are weak all the way down to 07.
Writing on the wall for what? Are you suggesting that the club will fold, and all those weak, worthless kids (04 and younger) should just head to their basements for a life of playing Fortnite? If they can't win a national ECNL championship at every age group, they should just hang up their cleats. Not good enough to get good training, have fun, play good competition, and improve their fitness and foot skills.
Dilution, dilution, dilution.....
Yes, agreed. There are too many ECNL/DA clubs in NoVA which has led to the dilution of talent but as long as clubs are making money (and they will since parents are willing to pay money to have their kid on a DA or ECNL team), I don't see any club stepping out of the game to allow for a greater concentration of talent unless it's mandated by US Soccer or USCS. The younger age groups are being hit the hardest since all these new DA programs came into play before they hit the middle and high school years. But BRYC is a well-established, well-run club. You may not like the people in charge, but they have solid coaches (at least on the girls' side), are centrally located for those in Fx and PW counties and have good access to field space. Not sure what writing is on the wall...they're as well-positioned as any club in the area, IMO. They may not have the sizzle and results of FCV, but they have a long history of providing good training and fielding competitive teams. Kind of like Arlington.
