What do you mean?

If your computer is functionally absolutely fine for the stuff that you do on it and is less than (I'd say half) of the price of the 1000 dollar mac air, I'd say keep it. [/quote]

I mean my current computer charges through a "magsafe" connection which means if I (or my dog or my kid) trip(s) over the chord it pops off no problem.  The new connectors have a slide-in charging port that works faster but it is possible for it to break off in the computer which will cost money to fix.  This happened on my 2004 era computer and I highly value the magsafe feature on my older computer and think its silly Apple got rid of it in the name of faster charging. [/quote]

I think you mean USB type-C. The EU and others are pushing for this so there is a common standard for power adpaters. [/quote]
