[/quote] Not really. If its free for you use, that means someone else is paying for it....and the "deals" usually benefit those paying for it, ie car dealers. USAA and other car buying services are powered by TrueCar (or at least they use the same underlying pricing engine). When TrueCar first came, there was a big uproar among car dealers, they boycotted using TC as it benefited the consumers very well. TC were forced to change their business model in such a way that it benefit the car dealers now. You're better of pitting one dealer with another. Better yet, I have a friend who went to see three dealers (in-person visits to show that he was a serious buyer), then a few days later, had all three on one conference call where they could fight among themselves to win my friend's business.
