I would like to believe that God like good father he is, he loves when people are kind and loving to each other because they  want to be or because they are good inside, not because they are afraid of God. I wonder if going to the Temple or Church or what have you makes God happy if people are doing it from sheer fear.  By the same token of being an image of God, would you as a parent be happy or satisfied with child's devotion if they would come and visit you or be nice to you out of fear or hope for getting inheritance down the line?  Would it be good enough for you to love such child with whole depth of your heart or would you be a little bit sorry that you saw the sheer "interest" behind their behavior towards you.
Unrestricted free worship seem worth so much more from the eternal perspective then fear forced admiration or adoration? Right?[/quote]
