McLean Bible Church has a support group for parents of children with special needs the last Sunday of every month at 12:30. They also have a variety of speakers throughout the month on various topics (epilepsy, financial planning, etc.).
I've been involved with McLean Access Ministries for years, but haven't gone to church there the whole time. Its very much an outreach to the community. There are some Christian overtones, but there is not any pressure, just lots of love and caring. Jill's house, a respite center just recently started for children with special needs, will be a very special help to overburdened parents who never get a break. Don't hesitate to contact Access Ministries for help, no matter what religion you are. It doesn't matter to them, and you don't have to be a church member.
