It is very painful. It happens when they try to move the last molar into position. It is t your kid's fault. My son had to go back to the ortho after every single appointment for a while. The ortho knew why, and always made room for him on the calendar the next morning but one. Once the molar was in place, it stopped being necessary. [/quote]
