OP here. From everything I read it sounded like there was less corn syrup and other artificial ingredients. Definitely open to that being wrong!
I have heard people repeat ad naseum that the European formulas are better. From another thread: you look at the list of ingredients for HIPP and Enfamil newborn, here are the differences: They both use skimmed milk as a base, and add whey protein. They both use palm oil, sunflower oil, soy oil, and coconut oil, but HIPP also adds rapeseed oil while Enfamil doesn't. They both have LCP oils, HIPP describes the source as "fish, vegetable". Enfamil uses the scientific names of the organisms they're derived from "mortierella alpina oils, crypthecodinium cohnii oil" They both have "galacto-oligosaccharides", HIPP has lactic acid, Enfamil has polydextrose They both have a long list of vitamins and minerals, some of which are the same, some of which are different, and some of which seem to be called by different names because the two countries label things differently. For those of you who chose HIPP because the ingredients were superior, which of these differences led you to choose HIPP? A love for rapeseed oil? An objection to knowing exactly where your LCP oils came from? An objection to polydextrose? Because otherwise they are very similar. [Report Post]
