I did it so many times. I kept going for these reasons: -the convenience of not shopping. Either in store or online. Saved me time bc all I had to do was spend 15m typing out what I was looking for -a good handful of pieces that I LOVE that I never would have found on my own. my favorite pair of jeans was from SF 4 yard ago. Still my favorite and I can’t beat them. And my favorite necklace too. After a while, I couldn’t trust the process anymore -felt like I was spending $$ for $ quality. Or $$$ for $$ quality. Either way, I felt like the prices were just MORE. $24 for a tee isn’t terrible, but I feel like I could wait for a basic sale at jcrew and get the same thing for $12-17. Same for dresses. Spending $70, when it’s a $45 dress. They slow you to cost compare and snag a lower price if you find it elsewhere, but 1/2 the time it’s from their exclusive label and you cannot buy elsewhere. -on a similar note it was taking a good amount of my clothing budget for just like 3 items. But I want to vary out with other clothing purchases: underwear, bras, swimsuits, exercise clothing, and a graphic tee instead of 100% blouses. -felt like I wasn’t being listened to. After doing it so many times, I’m sure their file of my notes was huge, ha ha. Seems like stuff I wanted to explain was starting to get lost. For example, my own sense of coverage areas/modesty concerns were not being listened to unless I put it in writing every time.
