There are two separate issues that need to be addressed: 1. If a teen allegedly commits a murder, the criminal justice system should not release him a short while later. Were they cleared of the first murder and then went on to commit a second one? Something is very wrong here. 2. Illegal presence on US soil is a problem for a separate agency with a different process.
My understanding of this case is that they were initially arrested for attempted murder and other charges. ICE had a detainer on them. Prior to their first arrest, at least one of them had been ordered deported, but never was. After their arrest in PG County, county officials transferred them to a juvenile facility but did not alert ICE of the transfer. And, now, they are suspects in the murder of a teen. Bottom line - neither of these people should be in this country. They were both in custody, but never deported. This is totally unacceptable. And, you can bet there will be similar cases to this one. This is why so many millions of Americans are just sick of the illegal immigration happening and the Democrats inaction on this issue.
