Our donor did the deed, handed over a cup, and I was the one who did the rest using a speculum and a flashlight, essentially. During the time we were doing this, we connected with other women who were doing the same except most of them were ordering frozen sperm from a cryobank that is prepped for this type of insemination, not IUI.

None of this ended up working for us - DW had other issues which required ART. However, we do know another lesbian couple who did basically this same method and had success twice. I think their sperm was frozen, but still a known donor.
