Great truck but Land Rover service is pretty bad. And expensive.
+1 We owned a brand new 2007 LR3. Beast of a machine but chewed up tires and brakes like none other! Mechanically sound. Had a water pump go out once and mostly control arm bushings (heavy vehicle) over 7 year 90K ownership. Sold it before extended warranty expired. Cost of ownership added up quicky. But man was the LR3 fun to drive in the snow! Chewed it up and spit it out!
I have one of the v8 lr4’s and if I didn’t have a good, reasonable independent mechanic I wouldn’t still have it. With the dealers, it’s as if the purchase price is a teaser rate - the fun begins with laughable brake pad replacements etc etc.
