We've played in the league for a couple of years now. Last summer it took over the Eastern Regional league also and runs these as regional conference extensions of the National League.

For Virginia, teams play in the South Atlantic conference in either team v. team or club v. club divisions (or in some cases both).  Most teams are from MD, PA, DE, or NJ. So more travel than NCSL but about the same as NPL and CCL (i.e. Baltimore and Philly are just as close / closer as VA Beach).  If more VA teams join then you're likely to be placed in the same division (if at same competition level) and therefore, less travel.

Next best thing to ECNL or DA, and a few of the teams are better than local ECNL and DA squads (Pipeline, Rush).[/b] One word of advice, if your team / club does decide to do this, don't play in the club v. club portion.  There is much more scheduling flexibility and autonomy in the team v. team divisions and the competition level is the same.
