The club and coaches obviously have an interest in being competitive. Merit drives selection. Like any selection process there may be mistakes in talent evaluation. But no, this is not like admissions at your local Montessori or private school. Or some local clubs. Kids come from all over. And contrary to what some posters suggest, DAs at feeders like Arlington are not simply first team Arlington or Loudoun or Bethesda kids. The DA teams draw from a much wider area and many other clubs in the area. [/quote]
