How much is she making now? By the time I had my second my nanny was already making 23/hr after giving her a 1 dollar raise for 3 years. I told her 25/hr was my ceiling for two kids and I wouldn't be able to give her annual increases after that. She happily accepted the 25/hr and has stayed with us for 2 years now at that rate. I'm expecting a decent raise this year so I might be able to give her a bigger than usual bonus at Christmas though.
O hope you boss sets a ceiling on your salary. Two kids should be a minimum of $28/hr.
Go back to the nanny forums where everyone makes $45/hr with minimal experience. There's ceilings on any and every job. Troll.
Most employers who cap salary start providing better benefits in lieu of another raise. That may be $100/month for insurance, an extra 3 days PTO, an hour off (paid) as an early start to every weekend Friday afternoon or late start to the week Monday morning. You don’t retain employees indefinitely with the status quo.
