It's not 48 hours, they will sleep at night and it's not like she has to get up in the middle of the night to check an 8 or 10 year old. Also it depends on the relationship with their cousin/niece. If she is very close with her cousins and usually spends time in their house or vice versa it's different than hiring an outside baby sitter. [/quote]

So she can leave and go home at night then? Come back in time for breakfast?

If you want her to be available again and not complain to family how stingy you are, pay what you would pay a sitter. I would pay an hourly rate for he awake hours and then $ flat rate of 50-$100 for the overnights.[/quote]
