OP. It’s cooked chicken, from a roasted chicken. I like to roast a chicken then use the meat for a few diff meals and the bones for broth, but for some reason shredded chicken is kind of grossing me out recently (pregnancy). So just wondering if I could purée it and use it in a meatball, chicken nugget, chicken meatloaf, something like that.
Ah, got it. Sorry about the food aversion - when I was pregnant meat made me gag, so I get it. I think you could roast a chicken and then make nuggets or meatballs, sure. If you can stomach it I would probably not use the food processor, though. Shred the cooked chicken, then dice it finely with a knife - just chop it up on a chopping board, cutting it finer and finer. Then mix with breadcrumbs, an egg, and maybe some shredded parmesean cheese? Form into balls/nuggets and either pan fry or bake. The chicken should meld with the binder pretty well and not have a meaty texture.
