That's super fast for the majority of SUV drivers. There is no need to back into suburban parking lots and parking garages; there are even signs in some of the garages warning drivers to not back in, I've seen drivers back-in right in front of these signs. Not sure why backing in is a "thing" here, I've lived around large SUVs and pickup trucks my whole life before moving here, and most people did not back in and did not kill anyone while pulling out.
