Looking back, that was sort of crazy--but it all worked out well, and the pup was an integral part of our family life for over 15 years! Since then we've had 2 other dogs, and they've never been as much a part of the kids' lives as that first pup. Kids are now grown & gone, and I remember those early puppy days fondly.[/quote]
