Because they need to build an addition to house all the students when they reach their full size (same size as P St). They can't make the finances work otherwise. I don't think the addition is being built immediately but could be wrong.

check the archives - lots of discussion about this when the proposal to expand was before the PCSB.[/quote]

Yup unless something changed (and I don't think it did) they are getting rid of the playground at new location and will walk the kids to Brookland rec center, which (I think) is a farther walk than the playgrounds P street uses. [/quote]
