OP here.

i walked through that development (yes you can do that) many times. it's very central, which is nice, but doesn't feel any safer than locust point or any harbor high-rise. my fear in baltimore is that i would be robbed on a gun point while walking down the street, say. or perhaps car-jacking. there are many many condos and homes in baltimore where you are safe from a break-in - i don't really feel like that's a big issue, safety-wise. oh, and also - those smaller homes in the same lane can be had for like 700k or something. i've been in one and they have a bad floor plan. there are also empty docks where they were supposed to have a marina but they won't have it, i think, and it looks a little depressing - [b]the development next it to, while not as high end,[/b] has a beautiful beachy vibe. his home is certainly much better than these but i can't imagine it be worth eight times more. it just seems to me like he was used to LA prices and didn't fully adjust.[/quote]

By next it to it what do you mean? On the main street or on a separate pier? And does it have 24/7 security and a gated entrance like this one?[/quote]
