So now everyone can be subtracted to distracting captioning? Oh joy. As if the movie theatre experience wasn’t already bad enough, with overpriced food, talkers, texters, and hooligans. Now I get to see closed captioning, too! Why don’t they just cut to the chase and just ban theaters. It’ll save time from them going out of business.
You are a terrible person. We should be striving to make our society MORE inclusive and accessible-not less.
Captions are distracting. Just give peoples who need them little devices. Sometimes “inclusion” is overrated.
Did you read the linked article? There are “little devices” (caption glasses) which tend to glitch or otherwise not work, causing the patron to miss parts of the movie. That’s probably more “distracting” for them than captions are for you. Also, captions won’t be required at all screenings. You absolutely won’t have to see them if you don’t want to. This accessibility won’t inconvenience you.
