Guardian requested no tech for Christmas. We would like to provide 4-5 small items. Here’s what I have so far. Giant ball of rubber bands Playing Cards Tach pen which writes upside down and has a flashlight Am I clueless thinking these are appealing? What else would work?
Do you know his gloves size? My 13 loves wearing gloves. knit cap (I would not get red or blue because some schools don't allow those colors) Cool sunglasses. Tic Tacs (I don't know why my kids are so in to them, but my friend said her kids are too and she also puts them in their stockings) knit cap
Why wouldn't a school allow kids to wear red or blue? Those are very standard wardrobe staple colors.
Because these are gang colors and schools ban them so that kids are not targeted by mistake. It sounds like something like an Angel tree that OP is doing, so I would be extra careful since she may not know what school the kid goes to. I am in the bay area.
Those kind of gangs are not a thing here.
Unfortunately they are. MS-13’s color is blue. The rival color is red. MS-13 gang members attacked someone in Wheaton Park in the last couple of years just because the person was wearing a bit of red. It is absolutely crazy and senseless but it happens. I deal with this for my job.
