We reported the smell within 6 hours of it being installed and if reported within 48 hours, Homedepot will do an exchange or a refund.. We requested that they take the dishwasher back and they first wanted to do an installation check on Tuesday. We thought about exchanging it with another unit, but it has spooked me so bad (especially after reading the horror stories online) that I do not want a bosch anymore. The bosch unit was very quite and I am sure it cleans well too but frankly I can live with a noisy unit as long as it cleans well and has no odor. We are a family of 5 and our dishwasher runs at least twice a day. [/quote]
