Hi! As more scientific data warning about climate change becomes available (https://nyti.ms/2QIOoQX), I wonder what MCPS has done to reduce its energy use, use greener energy, plant trees on school properties or take other actions to reduce our footprint? Can anyone inform of those efforts and potential ways for parents to help?
While I’m all for operational efficiency and demand MCPS be good stewards of public funds distributed to them. They at all times should work to minimize utility and excessive travel/meeting/supply/management related costs. Come on... are you working for a green consulting service? Looking for some taxpayer largesse? Perhaps you are looking to make some ‘green’ selling solar panels to all the schools... you know those inefficient devices that cost more money and energy input to produce than are ever returned from them? Or are you just a rube highly susceptible to panic motoring??
