Schools w/block schedule have more elective options. Magnets fill some of those w/ required classes. At TPMS, kids have 2 electives (same for magnet & non b/c mag has Comp Sci & non has double math). Foreign Lang, music (choral or inst), art are all electives. Not enough slots for everything. [/quote] SSIMS has block schedule with no double math. So kids take 8 classes, including foreign language plus two electives. There are a few art electives, usually paired with a semester of a tech class, like robotics.[/quote]
