But there is also a legitimate concern that, in an effort to show support and not in any way question someone announcing they are trans, people are moving way too quickly to make life altering medical decisions (often at a young age) without taking the time and professional support to examine whether something other than actually being trans is causing the desire to transition. And a non-nominal of people have determined they are not trans, often after taking irrevocable medical steps. There was a very long and balanced article from the Atlantic (hardly a conservative rag) on this issue not that long ago.[/quote]
