Fortunately he was able to take control of another age group for the upcoming season, so he has the level above and the level below the team he is actually interested in. 
This allows him maximize the 03 team roster to give it the best chance to win a national championship  so he can be just like Daddy, and parlay his current position into an even bigger job.

I can't imagine the other older coaches sticking around too long if tries to "direct" them.

So y'all are apparently not fans of Mikey. He seems to be a polarizing figure. The club has alot invested in him to guide 3 consecutive ECNL age groups.

The 03 group is an interesting case since they have enjoyed pretty good success in league play at least. To what do you attribute that to? Excellent coaching, or just a fortunate accumulation of talent whose success has attracted more talent?

One of the issues with the 04's is the draw of multiple DA's in somewhat close proximity. One thing he could do is move some of the 04 playups back down to level things out and see if he can't improve the team enough to attract talent in that age group.

Not a fan. Don't believe he cares about the girls he coaches beyond what they can do for him.

The 03 group success is some of both. He's a good technical coach, but the success of the team has definitely attracted talent from other clubs.
He does have room for growth when it comes to coaching and directing a team during the course of a game / tournament.

Can't believe he would move any of his 04s playing with the 03 team down unless he felt the 03 team didn't those girls to win. More likely is if he can good 04 talent, he will move them up to help the 03 team.
