I’ve never seen this at any other pool - there’s always one guard right next to the well and one watching the shallow end area. People and especially kids can drown in seconds so I don’t understand this money saving strategy. Every time I’m at the pool I’m worried that someone’s child will be found at the bottom of the pool some day.

Whether the kids have a good camp experience might be up to luck rather than planning. Everyone hires young inexperienced camp counselors but you need to also have enough experienced , higher paid counselors to supervise. [/quote]
