Besides Nottoway Park, Meadow Lane Park in Vienna is close and best for smaller kids. Van Dyke Park in Fairfax is good for all ages. We swim at Oak Marr though the water can be cold. If you're new to Fairfax check out the larger parks system, there are many great playgrounds, water parks, and a zillion nature centers. Fairfax City, Reston, and Alexandria also have their own spray grounds, nature centers, and children's programming.

Not everyone likes privately owned Roer Zoofari in Vienna but we are fine with it under new management. When the weather is bad we sometimes drive out to one of the many indoor play places near Dulles. [/quote]
