We tested a little over 100 students in third grade this year. I believe there was one 600.
That's a low performing school. Or one where all the more studious kids got sucked out into the AAP center.
I think pass rates were down this year for whatever reason. We had no 600s in math (14 Pass Advanced) and one 600 in reading out of over 100 tested. The school did make the Board of Education Distinguished Achievement Award part of this list: https://www.fcps.edu/news/five-fcps-schools-earn-2018-governors-award-educational-excellence-fcps-honored-distinguished
I was surprised to hear how many kids at our base school did not pass the math SOL this year. Idk if it was an anomaly or what. I do feel kind of "bad" that my kid's 600 was attributed to the AAP center rather than the base school, because I do think K-2 provided some of the instruction there, too!
