Have any of you experienced awful nights sleeping with your partner for an extended period of time? My wife wakes me up, one way or another, every single night. She's either hot as a blast furnace or coughing or kicking me in her sleep or tossing/turning. I think she has major sleeping disorders, and when I talked with her Mom about this she just said, "oh yeah, she's never been a real big sleeper," like it was totally normal. WTF? How do you literally not sleep? Facts: She is slightly overweight, does not exercise, and is an occasional smoker. She generally doesn't eat much before bed. I have tried for years to get her to see a sleep doctor in the area. We have some good ones. She got "burned" by an experience seeing one in Georgetown like 10 years ago and basically thinks its all hooey. Nyquil, sleeping meds don't seem to do a thing, either. She has told me she needs to get her thyroid checked, has told me that for nearly two years, and cant quite get there with the scheduling. Same story with the sleep doctors, and her mammogram. I'm a patient and tolerant man most of the time but I have been awoken by her between 3-5 am every night for the past two months and I'm starting to lose my shit. I thought when we had a kid 17 months ago that he would keep us up all night; quite the contrary, as he sleeps 8+ hours without waking every single night. I work from home and the lack of consistent sleep makes the prospect of napping-which I have never done-a real distraction during the day.
Bro, it's...it's you.
