I am debating requesting that my dd be reconsidered for compacted math (she was recommended for on-grade-level). I understand that the decision likely rests on a number of different criteria (and I understand what is involved, having had two other kids go through compacted math), but I wanted to see if she is in the right 'range' in terms of MAP scores before deciding what to do. Her end-of-third-grade MAP score was 216. Is that roughly comparable to others invited into compacted math, or is it low?
Spring MAP is 231, he is going to be in compacted math.
I'm the PP (231). I would ask them to reconsider if your child has been getting As and enrichment consistently! I just looked and winter MAP was 217 which isn't that far off from your child!
