This is kind of a fluff piece, but it rings true to me (while being admittedly light on statistics).

Embrace pay equity across the board - CEOs and shareholders make insane amounts more than the grunts. The grunts never, ever get shared with, and the new aristocracy has the obnoxious habit of pulling the ladder up behind them as fast as they can. So put a hand down where you can. Look around you. Where is the closest school that needs help? What can you do?[/quote]
