Northwood placed 2nd in Division 2 in this past year's competition. The teams are placed in Divisions based on how good they are from the previous two seasons. So they are quite good. I believe the other DCC teams are Division 3. I am sure that Northwood will have some talented dancers on their team and no one will be too good. There are lots of opportunities for "solos" and captain moves.
That's false. Northwood place 2nd two consecutive years in division 3, unable to beat Whitman. They actually got 2nd at the Damascus Invitational this year, which isn't the last competition, rather a competition for feed back. At the MCPS counties, Northwood placed 8th this year in division 2. Einstein got 1st and Whitman got 2nd. Einstein scored 648 to Whitman's 616. Einstein has the best poms program in the DCC. Einstein got 1st place two years in a row in division 3, got 4th in their 1st year in division 2. Got 2nd in 2016, Einstein are now the MCPS Poms division 2 champions. If North wood scores low next year, they most likely be back in D3, while Einstein move to D1. Watch it all play out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pm5bSZVRoy4
