A long-term faculty member may be a sign of a more entrenched culture. Visiting scholars may be funded by another institution rather than hired by the college etc. and regardless have only been around for the past 7 months or so. Doesn't make it necessarily less disturbing, just potentially less entrenched.[/quote]
