I ran a club (completely uncompensated) for years due to this guilt. Then I realized that I was doing that while my own child sat in aftercare until 6:30 on those days because I still had to get my work done and be prepared for the following day after the club was over. Not to mention having to call parents when they didn't show up on time to pick up their kid and then wait with the kids whose parents were late. My co-workers still run the club because they're afraid of fallout from admin. There was no fallout from admin for me, but I do contribute to the school above and beyond my contract hours in ways that work better for me. [/quote]
