OP, I’d encourage you to meet with a therapist and a nutritionist. There is a lot here that suggests that you need some professional help.
A very gentle +1 to this. Please seek professional help with a mental health provider. One cannot be healthy and continue eating just a bar, some broccoli and a piece of chicken.
+1 You have so much going on in your life, OP. I am concerned about your simultaneous focus on restriction and the blame you are shouldering for your problems conceiving. That must be so hard to process. I will speak from some experience that healthy SUSTAINABLE weight loss is slow going because you are learning how to make lifestyle choices that will prevent you from putting the weight back on. Weight loss isn’t usually the hardest part of that process. I found that I need to learn how to enjoy food in moderation and without guilt as well as develop tools for self care that don’t center around food. These are my keys to long term success and maintenance. I used to think that I would lose weight and fix the problem but I didn’t really fix anything until I dealt with the mental. That also meant I had to forgive myself for letting myself go and be kind to myself about my weight. I think a therapist and a nutritionist are excellent suggestions. You are 29, OP! You have time to lose the weight in a healthy way and still have a family. It is good for you to tackle this problem now, before you have a family. Life gets harder with a baby and food is a tempting way to self-soothe. Better to do the work of addressing this problem now. Hugs to you, OP!
