By your standard, I and my family are not successful.  I've got an undergrad degree from a midwestern public university and an MBA from George Mason.  I work for the federal government.  My DH has an undergraduate degree from state public university and works in the service industry.  My kids go to FCPS schools that are regularly derided on this forum.  They're smart but not gifted.  I doubt any of them would every get into an Ivy League and, no matter where (or if) they go to college, we would not incur large debt to send them.

My standard for success is that they are well adjusted, responsible adults who support themselves, have financial stability and enjoy life. There are SO many avenues to accomplish that.I do not define my kids' success by their schooling or profession. [/quote]
