DP. Weird argument. You are ignoring that the white, middle-aged men to whom you refer have a right to be in this country. The drunk driver in the story is an illegal immigrant, previously deported, and never should have been here in the first place. If immigration law were enforced, the Colts player would be alive today.[/quote]

DP.  Our system will never be perfect and we will never keep out everyone who should never have been here in the first place.  This man will be tried and found guilty and sent to prison.  That's a good thing, not a bad thing.

The obvious way to discourage people from coming to this country or returning after being deported would be to prevent them from finding employment.  It would be hard on employers, though.  It would be hard on our whole economy, driving up prices here and possibly reducing some conveniences there.  We, as a country, are not ready to take this step.  [/quote]
